Repurposing Your Content

Maintaining social media accounts can sometimes feel like a full time job. Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed with content creation by spending hours on perfecting your content and then failing to execute and successfully repurpose it.

Instead, think of each whole piece of content you produce as a collection of smaller snippets of content ready to be re-jigged and repurposed.

1. Canva is a game-changer when it comes to repurposing content. Pull a piece of writing you have previously published such as a blog post, email, or informative caption, and paste it into a Canva graphic. Then, create multiple, easy-to-digest tiles from your big chunk of information, and post to Instagram as a carousel or stories.

2. Blog posts should be copied and shared as LinkedIn articles or sent out as emails to your database. Extract a quote from one of your blogs/videos/captions and create an alluring graphic tile.

3. If you’re running low on quality imagery showcasing your work, scroll down your feed and repurpose an old photo - it will have been forgotten in that time and you have probably gained a lot of new followers since it was originally posted 6 months ago.

4. Re-edit and chop up clips from previous reels/IGTV/youtube videos to create a video montage. Take previously used images and create a reel to trending music.

Get creative and make your content go the distance for you. It's the typical saying that we should all be working smarter not harder and this truly will save you time, stress and hard work.
